Blog post week 2019-34 - new installation method, android app in the pipes and identity guidelines

What has happened since last time?

New, simpler installation method

In addition to our existing installation methods, we now provide a simpler, shorter installation method than only requires a single command:

sudo sh -c "$(curl -sSL https://get.funkwhale.audio/)"

That's it ;)

We hope this will make deployment of Funkwhale pods easier for non-tech people. Since this is rather new, let us know how it works for you!

Third-party android app

@apognu recently started to work on a native (as in: not based on Subsonic) Android client for Funkwhale.

While the project is still in early stages, we encourage you to join the discussion, give feedback and follow the development on our forums.

Logo and identity guidelines

As Funkwhale matures, it's important to make it easier for third-party projects to integrate with us. To help with that, we've put up a page that includes the high-resolution versions of our logos, as well as some guidelines to reuse these properly.

If you are working on a Funkwhale-related app or project, you probably want to have a look!
