BBC upholding the Tories despite their incompetence - 8 april 2020

What a nation of bootlickers we are that we just sit back and allow our media to turn the coronavirus crisis into this fawning forelock-tugging vigil for the beloved leader, when he was the malicious arsehole who made this crisis so much worse than it ever needed to be in the first place.

We're suffering the dire consequences of Johnson's ludicrous "inaction plan" of letting the virus rip through the population for weeks in the crucial early stages, instead of enforcing social distancing, testing, contact tracing, quarantining the infected, and obtaining protective gear for NHS staff and other essential workers.

It's bad enough that this obsequious vigil is going on at all, but to make matters even more unhinged is the fact that the BBC has been repeatedly reassuring the public that Johnson isn't seriously ill anyway, which makes the decision to relegate the deaths of 938 people to a footnote all the more sickening.
