Boris Johnson PLANNED in advance to 'tear up' the Northern Ireland Protocol before the UK approved and signed the treaty

Boris Johnson told DUP in Northern Ireland (NI) before the UK agreed to the withdrawal agreement (and the NI protocol) that he would:

“Boris Johnson did tell me personally that he would, after agreeing to the [NI] protocol, he would sign up to changing our protocol and indeed tearing it up. That this [the withdrawal agreement] was just for the semantics.” Ian Paisley, MP
