ABOUT THE IDEA OF VIDEO SURVEILLANCE IN THE KITCHEN

Dearest people

I read all your letters about how libtards are bad in washing the dishes of the common kitchen. I acknowledge the grievance. I also came across popular endorsement to the solution that the common kitchen must be brought under video surveillance so that we can exactly zero in on who is failing to wash the dishes.

I understand the logic that video surveillance might serve as a deterrent for someone who fails to wash their dishes on time (though I really want to believe that this idea of placing a camera was not a serious proposal. If it is indeed a serious proposal, I amicably understand that for some, this problem has become genuinely serious enough to be sanctioned with extreme solutions). However, I do not endorse video surveillance in the kitchen for the following reasons.

1. It forces the innocent folk who do the dishes to comply to being surveilled for a problem that was created by those who didn't do the dishes. All solutions though has the tendency to cause collective discomfort, should however not end up punishing the innocents as a cost for catching the guilty, even though I am as much eager as many others to see who the guilty are and shake their hands.

2. Doing the dishes is just one of the many activities that we do in the kitchen. I would certainly not like me being recorded randomly scratching my bum while I wait for my rice to be cooked. Also, since being guilty of not washing the dishes does not warrant the denial of privacy, I would not like the guilty also being recorded randomly scratching their bum while they gracefully place their dirty pans beside the sink.
