Plume
Plume ist ein großartiger Anfang einer Föderierten Blogging Plattform. Obwohl es noch sehr stark in der Entwicklung ist, findet es sich schon eine breite anzahl an Instanzen im Netz. Aber, und das sollte jedem klar sein, der mit dem Bloggen auf einer Plume-Instanz anfängt: Es ist Alpha-Software. Manches Funktioniert, vieles aber noch nicht. Was funktioniert: Schreiben, Antworten, Teilen, Favorisieren Was aber noch nicht gut funktioniert:
- Die Umleitung nach dem Absenden eines Beitrages. Sei es jetzt ein neuer Blogeintrag oder dem einfachen Teilen eines vorhandenen. Man wird immer auf eine 404 Seite geleitet. Das ist unschön, aber nicht schlimm, da die Beiträge dennoch abgesendet wurden.
- Benachrichtigungen bei Teilen, Favorisieren, Antworten. Man muss sich also selbst ein wenig aktuell halten und seine eigenen Beiträge ab und an mal ab klappern.
- Chaotische und mehrfache Anzeige der Beiträge auf der Startseite und unterschiedlichen Unterseiten
Es gibt mit Sicherheit noch mehr probleme und das verschweigen die Entwickler auch nicht. Damit blog.bka.li in Zukunft auch immer besser wird, habe ich meinen Test-Matrix Account so weit aktiviert, dass ich im Kanal vom Plume dauergast bin und hoffentlich jede neue Version mitbekomme, um sie dann entsprechend hier zu Installieren.
WriteFreely
Ich wurde inzwischen auch schon mehrfach gefragt, warum ich nicht einfach ein WriteFreely nutze, anstelle von Alpha-Software und ich muss gestehen, dass ich es zum Ausprobieren nieder geschrieben hatte, aber Plume zuerst installiert. Ich war von Plume so angetan, dass ich ganz vergessen habe, mich weiter um die andere Software zu bemühen. Mein Fehler also 😆 Wenn aber die Schreiberlinge hier geschlossen der Meinung sind, sie hätten lieber WriteFreely, habe ich kein Problem damit, diese Webseite von Plume auf WriteFreely um zu stellen. Es sei allerdings mit dazu gesagt, dass nichts übernommen werden kann und alle auf dieser Instanz wieder bei 0 Anfangen würden. Gerne könnt ihr mir in den Kommentaren eure Meinung dazu hinterlassen.
